The Creative Grids CGRJAW3MINI is required.
DESCRIPTION
This pattern is all about fabric placement and reminds me of a traditional Snail’s Trail block but created with the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool Mini. Alternating the colors on some of the rounds create the spiral affect and add that awe factor to the finished projects. Make 12 blocks for the pillow or 8 for the placemat.
Tip: Eliminate the math by cutting the strips using the line down the center of any of the Creative Grids 2-1/2-inch wide rectangles. This white line is at the 1-1/4-inch mark, the width of the strips needed to make the mini block.

I know how to make a pineapple block although sometimes I place the fabrics on a corner when they should be opposite. Since these blocks spiral that’s another reason to buy the pattern and pay attention because this block is tricky for me. Now I’ll have clear instructions.
